This February, two hikers set out for a 9 mile hike along the Franconia Ridge Loop. The two N.H. men reportedly ran into unexpected weather that left them lost and stranded in the mountains. One of them was found suffering hypothermia and severe frostbite. The other was found dead.

The scientific community has issued a clarion call to action to address climate change. Most notably, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – compromised of scientists from throughout the world – released a 2007 report finding that global warming is “unequivocal,� as evidenced by increasing temperatures, melting snow and ice, rising sea levels and impacts measured across all continents and our oceans.

Today, as our “beloved� Red Sox endeavor to start this 2008 season, again, on this first day of April, I’d like to raise a clarion call to Red Sox Nation.

One of our TV hosts, Jackie Bruno, Miss Massachusetts USA, hit the stage in Vegas Friday night for the culmination of the Miss USA contest (see her "Going Away" episode here). We're proud to say that Jackie made it to the Top Ten. She put her heart and soul into her preparations and had the strong support of her family. No doubt this is just one of the accomplishments that this talented woman will acheive in her life.
